Good to hear you finally have your DVD now Julian! I can't put a link on the gruppo sportivo website because i only run this forum. Maybe Hans can arrange it if he thinks its usefull.....
At the moment me and my wife are in the Philippines for 6 weeks (!) For all Gruppofans : Merry Christmas!

i did indeed purchase Career Movies (often mis-listed as "Career Moves" by the hoi polloi who don't get the joke) from an Italian seller.
hmmm...10 songs? it'll take some time to whittle things down to such a nub! i'll hafta think about it for awhile...

Ok, I can’t just pick 10 or so songs, so I decided to pick two from each album (one from SOTC). Quite often the band picked their sharpest material for singles, but not always…happy late kwizmukah to my American friends

Hello Dan, Long time no post by me. I am rather disappointed by the inactivity by us English speaking gruppies. I am looking forward to the (semi) new album though next month - Rock now Roll later. I hope it is easier to get a copy than the Career Movies DVD. I just loved all of it. Did you ever think any more about putting your old website back up? Julian

Hi Dan, Good to see your Gruppo pages are back up. Maybe someone can post a new link to it. Interesting to read about your life as well. I never bought the Death School albums, but being a Gruppo completist have a pristine copy of Bette Bright's album - took a while to pop up on ebay and not at all bad actually. I remember Death School well and saw them once in the late 70's. A little too clever for me at the time, but maybe I should but the complete anthology double CD and reconsider. Now on the other hand, I booked at my college (1979-1983) in England both The Planets (boring) and The Original Mirrors (brilliant) and whose two albums, the first self-named and the second called Heart Twango & Raw Beat I highly recommend. I hope you are enjoying Montreal, I know it well. One of my favorite cities. I lived in Toronto for 12 years and visited a lot. Have you found a restaurant in Old Montreal called Modavi yet (great place) and a little blues joint on St. Helen (i think) called Cafe Jo Jo? Where or how did you get a copy of "Rock Now Roll" Later so quickly? Cheers, Julian

Yes Julian you're right! Lots of fans replying in the guestbook of www.grupposportivo.com and they are all happy with the concerts of Gruppo they did visit so they might be interested in the Gruppo forum also but nobody knows about it..... I wrote a message also in that guestbook so hopefully they read back messages there. Hans or webmaster, if you read this, can you put a link to the forum on the grupposportivo.com pls?

I thougt it was "Deaf School" not "Death School" Julian. Like it´s not Grupo Sportivo, Career Moves or DJ Lookalike

hey! some activity! very cool. Julian, if you love gruppo (and you do!) you would love deaf school too. i guess you read my review of their first album. it is the most gruppo-esque album ever, even more so than the amazing indiscreet by sparks. and the planets were really great too, by the way. montreal is GREAT! cool people, cool restaurants, etc. and i like my colleagues too, which is the most important thing. i will check out the places you mention. i've found a number of good restos (as they say here) and a few good places for beer as well. i got RNRL off a german site. grooves-inc.com dan
