Hello ! Finally a forum for Gruppo fans !
I live in Melbourne, Australia and first saw them live in a Netherlands club (too drunk to remember the name) way back around 1980/81 !
Needless to say, I was pretty impressed. The first album I heard was 10 mistakes, and that hooked me. Needless to say i have everything that's out there, even Mieke's Tutti Frutti, EXCEPT Young And Out, which I have read is impressive group of outtakes that is worth having.
Any leads as to where I can get this CD would be much appreciated.

Welcome Robert, Here's another copy copy of Young & Out available through gemm.com at a bargain price........ playlandcd.gemm.com/q.cgi?for_seller=playlandcd&wild=gruppo+sportivoYoung & Out is a double CD. One of new stuff (at the time around 1993 I seem to recall)and the other CD is old stuff. Not my fave (that honor changes every month though and this month playing in heavy rotation in my car and house is Second Life), but still a must have. Check out Dan Silveman's fab and very informative website for a bio and album details.......... www.seedyroad.com/gruppo.htmIt's a bit quiet aroung here, but there are a few English speaking die hard fans. Most of the problem is fans never find the bloody forum I think. Cheers, Julian

G'day Julian.
Love Gruppo ! Been a fan since 80 when I was in the Netherlands and heard the albums played at a party.
I remember you could buy their albums on import here in Melbourne record shops in the early 80's. I picked up Pop Goes The Brain and Design Moderne around that time.
I'm into Buddy Odor at the moment...
Second Life - yep great. Acoustic feel works well. I know Dan Silverman's site - great resource for people like me so damn far away !!!!
Cheers,
R.
